Thought online shopping was the future? Think again.

New figures show that when brands, experiences and sparkling social strategy come together they can successfully entice shoppers back into stores.

Trinity Leeds, one of Landsec’s flagship retail destinations, reported a 15.7% year-on-year sales increase and a 4.7% rise in footfall in its latest quarterly results

Some of the standout figures include:

  • Home sales up an extraordinary 130% YoY

  • Fragrance, health and beauty sales up 15.1% YoY

  • Strong performance from new store openings, including Zara, Clarks and Søstrene Grene

This momentum is being fuelled by a continued appetite for experience-led shopping. From discovering the latest launches in-person, to enjoying the atmosphere of a buzzing retail destination, customers are showing that online convenience hasn’t replaced the thrill of visiting a store.

At The Content Emporium, we’re proud to have played a role in driving this growth by creating buzzing social campaigns that showcase an experience filled with bulging shopping bags and must-visit destinations.

We’ve been busy hyping up new store openings (including Zara, Clarks and Søstrene Grene), enticing customers with tours, spotlighting trending products to buy now, and designing social content that showcases a bustling local community that everyone would want to be part of. As well as delivering relevant, must-read emails to showcase specific events and exclusive savings to email subscribers. Above all we’re reminding customers why there’s nothing quite like popping to the shops in person.

As these results show, physical retail is not only resilient but thriving, and Trinity Leeds is leading the way, with a strong social strategy propelling them forward.
